Tan Ah Chiew is a self-educated pottery artist. She mastered her skills over time under the influences of her husband, Mr. Toh Kiam Hock, and other artists who motivated her to dive deeper into the world of pottery during her golden years.
She is fascinated by Chinese pottery and its culture. The focus of her artworks is creating teapots using the coiling method.
She enjoys the challenge of creating avant-garde teapots while incorporating traditional concepts. She also enjoys creating cups, containers, plates and slab work.
