Respect the kiln's rhythm. Master the flame in 3 days.

Gain years of practical experience in a single weekend. You'll collaborate with a team to load, fire, and unload a gas kiln while receiving direct instruction in glaze application and reduction control. This workshop covers every aspect of the firing process.

🔄 The Workshop Flow

The workshop is structured around the lifecycle of a single kiln load. Participants are expected to commit to at least two of the key sessions.

Kiln 1 Schedule:

· 📦 Loading: Friday, 21 Aug | 10:00 – 13:00
· 🔥 Firing: Saturday, 22 Aug | Two Shifts Available
  · Shift 1: 9:00 – 14:00
  · Shift 2: 14:00 – 19:00
· ✨ The Grand Reveal (Unloading): Monday, 24 Aug | 10:00 – 13:00True craftsmanship takes time. After the essential 24-hour cooling period, join us to unload your transformed ceramics in this exciting finale.

Commit to Your Dates:
Loading: 21 Aug (Friday)
Firing: 22 Aug (Saturday)
Unloading: 24 Aug (Monday)

💰 Firing Details & Pricing
Registration Fees:
· 3Arts Students & Members: $200 per person
· Non-Members Potters: $250 per person
· Full Crate Glaze: +$54 (Excludes bisque firing fee)

Important Guidelines & Deadlines:
1. Firing Limit: 
Maximum of 10 artworks per person.
2. Glazing Deadline: 
All pieces must be glazed at the 3Arts studio by Sunday, 16 Aug.
3. Artwork Delivery: 
Bring your bisque-fired pieces to the Jalan Bahar studio on Friday, 21 Aug.
4. Size Requirements:
   · 2 Large Pieces: Max 25×20×20 cm each
   · 8 Average Pieces: Max 15×12×12 cm each
   · Sets Allowed: A teapot + 2 teacups OR a sake bottle + 2 small cups count as one piece.
5. Oversize Fee: +$10 per extra cm for pieces exceeding the size limits.
6. Commitment: To ensure a smooth process, all participants must commit to attending at least two of the scheduled dates (loading, firing, or unloading).
